The Steinmetz Smaller Learning Communities support the school’s focus on learning for all students. Through the SLCs, students will build a spirit of community. Through personalization activities, implementing a rigorous curriculum, working in dedicated teacher cohorts, and participating in a variety of professional and team-building development activities, faculty and staff will strive to meet student needs, resulting in improved student attendance and increased freshman on-track percentage, achievement, graduation rate, and scholarship/college acceptance opportunities. Through the themed academies, students will engage in personal and academic development of ethics, advanced science and math knowledge, and the communication skills necessary to compete for today’s college and career options.
The Steinmetz Smaller Learning Communities’ vision is to offer individualized attention to improve student success, including ELL and students with disabilities. Our goal is to provide students a personalized package of academic and support options to help them accomplish their goals.
